Industrial Warehouse Heating
A large-scale warehouse installation using Rose-PRO 4000W infrared panels, suspended at height and wired as a 3-phase system. Zone control is handled by black-bulb sensors and integrated into the building's BMS, allowing the heating to efficiently hold a background temperature that frost-protects stored equipment while directing warmth to occupied areas.
Bathrooms & Toilets
A multi-room bathroom installation using 36 PRO bar heaters, mounted high on the walls and angled down towards occupants. Positioned out of reach for safety and IP-rated to withstand water ingress, each unit is controlled by a Wi-Fi thermostat, so every room can be managed centrally and remotely from one device. Bathrooms are heated efficiently, only when required, with schedules easily set and adjusted through the app.
Offices, Coworking Spaces and Meeting Rooms
A discreet office installation using efficient, low-wattage infrared panels designed to slot directly into the suspended ceiling grid, blending seamlessly into the interior. Panels are placed above desks to deliver localised warmth to employees, while further units are suspended over open entrance areas and lobbies to take the chill off high-traffic spaces. Everything is controlled via programmable thermostats for efficient, scheduled heating.
Flats Retrofit - Living Rooms, Bedrooms and Bathrooms
A whole residential retrofit installation using sleek, durable tempered-glass infrared wall panels in a choice of white, grey and black. Fitted throughout living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, the panels offer a versatile, straightforward installation, while infrared towel-rail heaters bring extra flexibility to the bathrooms. Each unit has its own built-in smart thermostat for local control and Wi-Fi app control from anywhere. Alongside efficient, room-by-room heating, the infrared helps keep surfaces warm and dry preventing damp and mould.
Flats Retrofit - Hybrid Infrared Radiators
A retrofit project converting an older building into residential flats. Inefficient convection heaters were replaced with hybrid infrared radiators, chosen for their suitability to low-level mounting. Fully electric, each unit combines direct infrared heat with additional passive convective warmth, giving occupants comfortable, responsive heating. Every radiator has a built-in programmable thermostat for straightforward temperature control and scheduling, keeping the system easy to install and easy for residents to live with.
A Victorian Foundry with No Insulation
The Challenge
City Bloc occupies a former Victorian train foundry, a vast industrial space with high ceilings and effectively zero insulation, which makes it notoriously difficult to heat. For a long time, the centre had no functional heating beyond a few small, localised units. In the depths of winter, temperatures would sit in single figures, and in some zones dropped as low as 3°C.
That kind of cold has a direct effect on the business. It's hard to tempt customers through the door when the space is bitterly cold, and harder still to stay motivated to train when you can see your own breath.
Bouldering also brings a specific challenge of its own. Climbers are exercising and moving upwards, towards the warmer air near the ceiling, so the last thing anyone wants is a space that feels hot. It's an intense activity that warms you up fast once you start moving. The goal was never to heat the whole building; it was simply to get rid of the bitter, bone-chilling cold.
The Plan
Working with Tarig, City Bloc mapped out a targeted plan. Heating a space this size uniformly isn't realistic, so instead of chasing a single warm temperature everywhere, the aim was to create comfort zones: places where climbers could feel warm between climbs and rest comfortably, while the climbing walls themselves stayed cool.
The Solution
An electrician installed infrared heaters throughout the centre. Given the height of the space, a scissor lift was needed to position them and placement was deliberate at every step:
- Heat kept away from the climbing walls, so climbing temperatures stayed on the cooler side that climbers prefer.
- Warmth focused on the edges of the mats and the social areas, where people rest and spectate.
- Zoned thermostats throughout the building, so different areas could be controlled independently. The brick-built section holds its warmth, while a single-skin section with a draughty roof gets very cold. Separate zones stop the thermostat in a warm area from dictating the temperature in a cold one, and vice versa.
- On-demand push-button heating in some zones, giving climbers 30 minutes of heat at the press of a button. Much like a PIR sensor on a light, this means areas that aren't in constant use aren't heated when no one's there, cutting waste while keeping comfort on tap.
The Verdict

Even in the depths of winter, the space now feels pleasant. Climbers can relax in the café or on the edge of the mats and feel a gentle warmth without getting sweaty or overheating when they're actually on the wall. For a building that was never designed to be heated, infrared has made it genuinely comfortable, right through the year.
Quick Heating for On-Call Firefighters
A fire station installation combining suspended infrared heaters in the appliance bay, where the fire engines are kept, with wall- and ceiling-mounted panels in the firefighters' changing rooms. Each area is set up with a thermostat for frost protection, keeping the building and equipment safe in cold weather. Timers add a second layer of control: heaters provide rapid warmth the moment crews are called on, then switch off automatically as they leave. The result is dependable heat when firefighters need it, and meaningful running-cost savings from never leaving heaters running in empty spaces.
